Campfire! Bible Camp originated in 1997 as a project of the Cornerstone Canadian Reformed Church in Hamilton, Ontario. A core group of youth with a passion for outreach nurtured the vision for this mission. Their aim was to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with children and youth in the city of Hamilton.
Campfire is unique in its camper demographic. By endeavouring to serve inner city children and youth, Campfire! builds bridges between people from a variety of cultural and economic backgrounds. Campers and volunteers from all walks of life grow in understanding and empathy, learning to appreciate diversity in the body of Christ.
We are committed to supporting mission organizations and churches in the city of Hamilton and surrounding area. Campfire! seeks to meet the needs of those from the inner city who suffer socio-economic hardship and are often marginalized.
The creation of a fun, exciting, and supportive camp environment that produces individual growth, leadership, and maturity in Christ for all our campers, staff, and volunteers.
Campfire is like no other camp in the province of Ontario. The Saugeen River flows through the 160-acre property, which is also blessed with rolling hills, open meadows, towering conifers, scenic ponds for paddling and swimming, and trails for hiking and skiing.
It is truly a lovely piece of God's good creation.
