Campfire!'s scenic 160 acre property on the Rocky Saugeen River near Markdale, Ontario is a great place to be any season of the year. With its gently rolling hills, forests, trails, marsh, open fields and ponds, it offers many opportunities for relaxation and recreation. The diversity of landscape as well as the animal life that frequent it showcase the wonders of God's Creation.

Our facilities include a lodge with large meeting hall, fireplaces, bedrooms, washrooms, games room, fully equipped kitchen and more. The property also boasts heated cabins, a comfort station, an outdoor covered pavilion and a fire pit with benches. There is overnight accommodation for approximately 140 people, and the main lodge is equipped with a sound system and internet connections.

Rentals are available in the camp's off-season from Labour Day to mid June.

The Main Lodge

Overnight accommodation for 17 people.

Dining maximums: 150 with alcohol (license required) to 185 without alcohol.

The lodge has a large modern kitchen equipped with dishwasher, stoves, convection oven, grill, walk-in fridge, pantry and freezer.  Basic dishes and cutlery and all standard kitchen equipment are provided.  A servery off the kitchen opens to the main room. All food to be provided by the group renting or a catering service if so arranged (contact us for more info).

The lodge main hall offers round tables and chairs with comfortable seating for approx. 100 and to a maximum of 185 people. Available WiFi is free to use responsibly and Audio Visual equipment is available for and extra charge. A large fireplace surrounded by a few couches forms a cozy corner. Washrooms including an accessible washroom and a small bedroom are also available on this level.

The lower level has four bedrooms, each of which sleeps three, as well as large washrooms with showers. A good-sized games room on the lower level has a second fireplace, couches and chairs and offers games such as ping-pong. If needed, this room could also accommodate tables and chairs for meetings or dining for approximately 20 – 30 people. A wheel chair lift is available for access to the main floor. Laundry facilities are available.

The cabins are designed with three adjoining rooms. There are no washroom facilities in the cabins, but the Comfort Station is only 50 m away.

Extensive Grounds

With Campfire!'s scenic 160 acre property, you will find plenty to explore and keep you entertained.

There are a host of outdoor activities to enjoy on our property. Play a game of basketball or beach volleyball on the courts outside or use the fields for an impromptu game of soccer or another sports event. Experience walking or skiing on the property's trails that hook up to snowmobiling routes in the area. Enjoy tubing down the hills in the winter or just relax by the outdoor fire at the amphitheatre. Let the quietness refresh you.

Comfort Station

A state of the art Comfort Station is located conveniently close to the Rustic Cabins. This heated building provides showers and washroom facilities for the camper cabins nearby.


The beautiful outdoor pavilion with picnic tables is the perfect place to hold chapels and meetings of all kinds from Spring to Fall, weather permitting.  Meals can also be served here.


A natural amphitheatre near the lodge allows groups of all sizes to sit on benches under the night sky and enjoy camp fires, singsongs, etc around a large firepit.


Two ponds fringed by trees grace the property and are a short trail walk from the lodge. They are a great place to catch frogs or have a relaxing paddle in a canoe.

Basketball Court

An outdoor basketball court is available, weather permitting. You will need to bring your own basketballs (and any other sporting equipment you’ll need while you’re here).

No accommodation; full use of Main Lodge


Wedding Package

Full use of Main Lodge, full use of Campfire inventory including tables, chairs, dishes etc., preparation meetings with the Property Manager, decorating one day prior to event and cleaning one day after event - $31/pp/night option for guests to sleep over before and after wedding


Hourly Fee

Minimum of 2 hours; maximum 4 hours; use of the Mess Hall, servery and bathrooms on the main floor of the Lodge.

$31/PP/Night (Min: $700/night - Max: $3000/night)

Monday - Thursday

$25/PP/Night (Min: $700/night - Max: $2000/night)

Includes all stat holidays, the 2-week Christmas Break and March Break.
