Campfire Bible Camp is excited to announce new staffing opportunities for summer 2019.

  • Full-time Head Nurse
  • Part-time Relief Nurse
  • Assistant Program Director
  • Assistant Head Counsellor

Please include two letters of reference and a short essay telling us about your faith journey and why you would like to serve as a full-time staff member at Campfire Bible Camp.

Interviews will be held on Saturday, February 9th at Cornerstone Canadian Reformed Church in Hamilton, ON.

  • Be a professing member of a Reformed church, who is committed to serving Jesus Christ.
  • Show a desire and ability to work with children and adults in a camp setting.
  • Have current CPR, first aid certification, and police check by the time summer camp begins.
  • Be adaptable and flexible and have the ability to relate to one’s peer group.
  • Have enthusiasm, patience, integrity, and desire for spiritual growth. A sense of humour is also desired!


  • Must be at least 21 years of age, with administrative, organizational and leadership abilities. Prior Campfire experience is an asset.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a nursing role -pediatrics is preferred
  • Must be an RN or RPN with a current CNO registration
  • Able to supervise the health of counsellors, CIT’s, other volunteers, and campers.
  • Ability to communicate with parents before and during camp weeks.
  • Knowledge of and training in current issues regarding teen mental health is an asset.


  • This staff member will arrive on Sunday evening and stay until Tuesday at 4pm.
  • A commitment of at least two weekends is preferred and ideally three or four
  • Applicants may apply for all or multiple weeks. 
  • 4th year nursing students are also welcome to apply


  • At least 20 years of age and two years of camp counsellor experience is preferred.
  • Ability to accept guidance and supervision from the Program Director and Camp Director. 
  • To be knowledgeable about program activities and capable of clearly and concisely explaining games and activities to campers and leaders.
  • To be able to speak publicly with confidence and make your voice heard.


  • At least 20 years of age and two years of camp counsellor experience is preferred.
  • Willingness to work with and under the supervision of the Head Counsellor and Camp Director.
  • To be available for counsellor recruitment and training activities before camp begins.
  • An ability and willingness to spiritually and practically support and encourage counsellors in prayer, wrap sessions, and assistance as needed.
